Common Myths in Franchising

Common Myths in Franchising

I need industry experience

A common misconception when looking at franchise opportunities is that industry experience is required. In reality, most times, zero industry experience is necessary. At Premium Service Brands, none of our nine unique franchise opportunities require experience in the field. You don’t have to be a painter to open a 360° Painting. You don’t have to be a Handyman to open a House Doctors franchise. However, you do need to be a hard worker with ambition and a drive to succeed.

Corporate controls everything

Another myth surrounding franchising is that owners are merely a way for the franchisor to make money. This is far from the truth. As a franchise owner, you run your own business. Corporate is there to support you, but at the end of the day, it’s your business. Owning a business is a lot of work, so it’s nice to have a dedicated corporate team to fall back on.

Success is guaranteed

In life, success is rarely a guarantee. This applies to the franchise space as well. Opening a franchise with a proven business model puts you on the right path, but you’ll still have to put in the work to ensure your success. At Premium Service Brands, we’ll provide the training, coaching, and marketing support needed to put you in a position to succeed, but you’ll also have to trust the process and put in the hours of hard work.

Franchisors only care about the fees

Franchising is a mutually beneficial relationship. Our success as a franchisor is dependent on your success as a franchise owner. Fees are in place to improve corporate performance, which in turn benefits our franchise locations. We’re here to help you, and your success is our top priority.
